Christmas Margaritas

CHRISTMAS MARGARITAS

These have been a Marburger Christmas eve tradition since we lived in New Mexico. We grew up cooking steaks on Christmas eve, but when I had my own family, I transitioned to tamales and enchiladas. -Maureen

Ingredients

• Good Quality Silver Tequila

• Sweet & Sour Mix (Recipe Below)

• Cointreau or Gran Mariner

Instructions

• The ratio is 3 parts mix, 2 parts tequila and ½ part Cointreau

Sweet and Sour Mix

• 3 ¼ cup water

• 2 ¼ cup Fresh lime juice

• ¾ cup Fresh lemon juice

• 1 ½ cup simple syrup*

• ¼ cup fresh orange juice

*simple syrup = 2 cups sugar dissolved in 1 cup boiling water
