Chuy's Jalapeno Ranch Dressing

3 cups

This is a recipe from a friend of a friend. Jerry's sister-in-law got the recipe from a waitress who worked at Chuy's in Austin. This is actually a salad dressing but is so very good you will want to drink it with a straw. We also use it as a salsa substitute for chip and dip.


1 quart mayonaise (not miracle whip)
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup canned Jalapenos with a little bit of the juice
1 cup tomatillos
1/2 bunch of cilantro
3 pkgs original Hidden Valley Ranch mix (the buttermilk variety)


Peel the husks from the tomatillos.
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.
